C-PACE is a program of the Connecticut Green Bank. As the nation’s first full-scale green bank, we leverage public and private funds to drive investment and scale up energy efficiency and clean energy deployment in Connecticut. The Connecticut Green Bank launched C-PACE in January 2013.
The CT Green Bank, formerly known as the Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority (CEFIA), offers incentives and innovative low-cost financing to encourage homeowners, companies, municipalities and other institutions to support renewable energy and energy efficiency. Mackey joined the Connecticut Green Bank in 2012, where he leads the Commercial and Industrial Programs. In that role, through programs such as C-PACE, he helps commercial and industrial building owners, non-profits, schools and hospitals access affordable capital for clean energy projects. Before taking over the Commercial and Industrial portfolio in 2016, he served as the Green Bank’s Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. In that role, he helped lead the transformation, development and implementation of the Green Bank’s clean energy financing mission as well as running its day-to-day operations. Prior to joining the Connecticut Green Bank, Mackey was the White House Liaison at the U.S. Department of Energy. He has also held leadership positions in several political campaigns. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Vanderbilt University.

Alysse Lembo-Buzzelli joined the Connecticut Green Bank's Commercial & Industrial Programs team in September of 2014.

Alysse graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources, concentrating in Environmental Conservation. During her time at UCONN, she worked with the Office of Environmental Policy on projects such as recycling, food waste reduction and achieving campus-wide carbon neutrality. She was also the President of the student environmental organization (EcoHusky) that focused on student outreach, education and awareness of environmental issues.

Prior to joining CEFIA, Alysse was the Residential Sales Manager for a Connecticut-based solar PV installation company where she helped educate homeowners on the environmental and financial benefits of going solar.

Alex Kovtunenko joined the Connecticut Green Bank as the Senior Associate of Commercial and Industrial Programs in August 2014.

Alex graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he focused on energy and environmental law. His work experience through law school included time at the Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Justice and the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection where he worked on a variety of environmental enforcement, regulatory and administrative law issues. Alex holds a BS in Environmental Science from the University of Connecticut and an Energy and Environmental Law Certificate.

Anthony Clark joined the Connecticut Green Bank as the Senior Manager for Commercial & Industrial Programs in August 2015.

Anthony graduated from Yale University with an MBA and Master’s of Environmental Science where he focused on clean energy finance and sustainable design. Earlier in his career, Anthony worked on global operations and environmental strategies at General Electric and energy resilience at the New York City Housing Authority. He also has experience consulting on a range of energy and resource efficiency projects for the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection, National Renewable Energy Lab, and South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority. Anthony holds BA in Social Studies from Wesleyan University.

Nicholas Zuba joined the Connecticut Green Bank as the Manager of Commercial and Industrial Programs in August 2015.

Nicholas earned his Master of Public Administration degree from the Cornell Institute for Public Affairs at Cornell University, focusing on environmental sustainability program design and management. At Cornell, Nicholas worked on environmental sustainability projects, including the Environmental Defense Fund’s (EDF) Climate Corps Program. With CA Technologies, Inc., he helped develop energy-saving project recommendations and ways to fund and finance his recommendations, including advocating for deploying Property-Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing in Suffolk County, NY. His work earned him their first-annual Best Business Case Award.

Prior to Cornell, Nicholas worked for Town of Babylon Government in Long Island, NY. In 2011, he became an administrator of the town’s Long Island Green Homes Program, one of the first residential PACE programs in the country that provides homeowners with financing to reduce their energy usage. He expanded the program’s outreach efforts and refined its policies, increasing demand for Green Homes’ services. Nicholas partnered with similar programs in Long Island, New York State, and across the country to share its best practices. Nicholas also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Ithaca College.
